Turbine ventilator: ventilation without the need for high-pressure drive gas
Built-in air pump: independent air supply with quiet operation below 45 dB
Minimum tidal volume of 5 mL: enables precise ventilation of very small veterinary patients
Tidal volume range: 5–1500 mL
18.5" Full HD touchscreen: 1920 x 1080 resolution
5.5" status display: shows key parameters such as tidal volume, airway pressure, and gas supply pressure
The Mindray WATO A7 is an advanced veterinary inhalation anesthesia system designed for veterinary clinics and hospitals. The system combines a turbine ventilator, electronic gas-flow control, and advanced ventilation modes.
The WATO A7 can be considered the flagship of the Mindray Animal anesthesia equipment portfolio and represents a significant advancement over its predecessors, thanks to its turbine drive, integrated air supply, advanced respiratory mechanics monitoring, and integration with AnaePilot/VetiNet.
The turbine ventilator enables operation without high-pressure drive gas, while the built-in pump provides an independent supply of medical air. A minimum tidal volume of just 5 mL enables precise ventilation of small patients, while the range of up to 1500 mL allows ventilation to be adapted to animals of different sizes.
After the patient's body weight is entered, the Mindray WATO A7 automatically recommends appropriate ventilation parameters.
Veterinary inhalation anesthesia, general anesthesia, veterinary surgery, routine surgical procedures, orthopedic and abdominal procedures, prolonged surgical procedures, and advanced anesthesia procedures in animals of different body weights
Manual ventilation
Spontaneous breathing
VCV – Volume-Controlled Ventilation
PCV – Pressure-Controlled Ventilation
PCV-VG – Pressure-Controlled Ventilation with Guaranteed Tidal Volume
SIMV-VC/PC/VG – Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation, volume-controlled / pressure-controlled / volume-guaranteed
CPAP/PS – Continuous Positive Airway Pressure with Pressure Support
APRV – Airway Pressure Release Ventilation: ventilation with controlled airway pressure release
the ventilator is driven by a high-performance turbine and does not require high-pressure drive gas for operation
an integrated pump provides medical air with a noise level below 45 dB
after the animal's body weight is entered, the system automatically recommends appropriate ventilation parameters
alarm limits are adjusted according to patient size to support safer ventilation and reduce the risk of barotrauma
monitors current and cumulative anesthetic consumption during the procedure
displays Pressure-Volume, Flow-Volume, and Pressure-Flow loops for assessment of respiratory mechanics
visually guided lung recruitment with stepwise PEEP increases and assessment of the results
temporarily stops ventilation and fresh gas flow when the patient is disconnected from the breathing system
enables measurement of plateau pressure, static compliance, and inspiratory resistance
enables measurement of intrinsic and total PEEP
the heated breathing system reduces condensation formation
veterinary-adapted profiles, screen layouts, and settings for different clinical situations
customizable checklists guide the user through system preparation and checks before and during anesthesia
the system automatically selects the most reliable respiratory rate signal source
automatic fresh gas flow optimization; recommends the minimum required fresh gas flow to reduce gas consumption
an advanced ventilation mode with brief pressure-release phases that may improve alveolar recruitment, CO₂ elimination, and gas exchange
a digital gas-mixing system enables precise and intuitive adjustment of fresh gas flow
provides additional assessment of the mechanical load imposed on the lungs during ventilation
enables monitoring of the pressure difference associated with lung compliance and supports ventilation optimization
connects the anesthesia workstation with compatible Mindray patient monitors and infusion pumps
enables centralized monitoring of multiple devices, automatic data collection, and creation of an electronic anesthesia record
