Esaote I-Genius is an intraoperative MRI system designed for use during neurosurgical procedures, particularly brain tumor surgeries (e.g., glioma). Unlike conventional MRI diagnostics performed before or after surgery, this system enables MRI imaging during the surgical procedure itself, without the need to move the patient out of the operating room.
Esaote I-Genius is an open-configuration MRI system that integrates directly into the operating theatre and allows patient imaging without interrupting the surgical workflow. The system supports real-time neurosurgical procedures, increasing the likelihood of complete tumor resection and reducing the need for repeat surgeries.
This design does not require cryogenic cooling, reduces infrastructure requirements, and enables significantly lower operational costs while maintaining reliable diagnostic quality.
