Esaote O-scan VET is a compact low-field MRI system designed for imaging extremities in both small animals and horses. It offers a flexible and cost-effective solution for veterinary clinics aiming to expand their diagnostic capabilities with minimal infrastructure requirements.
Unlike whole-body MRI systems, O-scan VET is dedicated to targeted imaging of joints and distal extremities (e.g., paw, elbow, knee, hoof, fetlock), where orthopedic and sports-related injuries most commonly occur. With optimized protocols and dedicated coils, it enables fast and accurate diagnostics with reduced examination time.
The system uses a permanent magnet (~0.31 T) and does not require cryogenic cooling, significantly lowering installation and maintenance costs. Its compact footprint (~9 m²) makes it one of the smallest MRI systems available.
