The Medical Printer Sony UP-X898MD is a compact A6 black & white medical digital printer capable of accepting both analog video and computer-friendly USB digital signals.
It is designed to integrate into a wide range of compatible medical imaging environments such as digital ultrasound systems, mobile C-arms, or cardiac catheterization labs. The high-quality thermal printing engine produces hard copy prints of images captured by these systems for patient records and referrals. For added convenience, printed images can also be saved to a connected USB flash drive. Please note: images printed from the UP-X898MD are not intended for diagnostic use.
The Medical Printer Sony UP-X898MD is a successor to the popular Sony UP-897 series of medical printers. Redesigned and enhanced, it offers several operational and ergonomic improvements while maintaining the same space-saving footprint and easy integration into medical carts. Usability is further improved with a larger LCD screen and a joystick for intuitive menu navigation. The printer delivers high-quality black & white prints in under two seconds. Its advanced thermal printing technology produces near-photographic results using widely available print media.
Sony’s unique design enables dual paper cutting directions – top and bottom – thanks to the addition of a new bottom cutter, in addition to the standard top cutter. This allows flexible installation in almost any orientation and ensures smooth, reliable printing operations.
Wireless Printing Capability
By using the optional UPA-WU10 wireless printing system*, you can establish a cable-free connection between a Sony digital printer with 5V USB output**, a mobile C-arm, or other hospital imaging modalities.
