For the past decade, MedExpert has regularly organized workshops on imaging ultrasound diagnostics in veterinary medicine. This year, we once again visited the Veterinary Station Samobor, where on May 17–18 our colleague, Mr. sc. Tomislav Brajko, DVM, held a lecture and workshops on the subject.

Regardless of their level of experience, veterinarians improved their skills in ultrasound diagnostics, such as abdominal ultrasound. Among the participants were also those who spend most of their time in other branches of veterinary medicine, which often overlap with ultrasound diagnostics, such as internal medicine, emergency medicine, and intensive care.

Such workshops provide an understanding of how ultrasound works, insight into the possibilities of abdominal examinations by evaluating all major abdominal structures, help with understanding ultrasound anatomy of the abdomen, and show the physiological appearance of different abdominal structures. This enables faster and easier recognition of pathological conditions and processes in daily practice.
